TEXTILES
My interest in textiles deeply influences my creative approach to 3D printing. They embody a unique combination of structure, flexibility, and aesthetic expression that I find inspiring. The intricate patterns, interwoven threads, and tactile qualities of fabrics spark ideas about how material can be both functional and decorative.
I am particularly drawn to the possibility of translating these textile qualities into new forms—rigid structures that mimic softness, or flexible prints that echo the adaptability of woven cloth. The repetition, geometry, and surface variation found in textiles provide a rich source of design language for experimenting with layers, textures, and modular patterns in printed objects.
This work is to me, a bridge between tradition and technology: drawing on the centuries-old craft of fabric-making while exploring the cutting edge of additive manufacturing. It allows me to imagine new hybrids—objects that carry the memory of weaving and stitching but are realized through digital design and 3D printing techniques.
