A LA CIMA NO SE LLEGA SOLA

Inmmersive Experience/ Suri Studio & Delfina Velar de Irigoyen, Buenos Aires, February 2025

Presented by Haeder & Sunshine Lab, with the collaboration of ONA Sounds.

‘A la Cima no se Llega Sola’ (To the top we make it together) celebrates the collaboration between Italian sculptor Giulia Vecchiato, alias SURI Studio, and the Argentine artist Delfina Velar de Irigoyen.

Venetian artist Suri transforms recycled precious metal into jewelry, or micro-sculpture, that tells stories of resilience and rebirth. Each unique piece reveals a hidden beauty, enhancing the discarded with the precious. Her work is deeply inspired by Venice’s environment and mediterranean culture and history, with a contemporary vision.

Delfina creates sculptures that invite the audience to touch and create an intimate sensorial dialogue. Her work transcends the visual and aims to wake up other senses in the audience as the tactile one. The sculptures exhibited are the result two tactile encounters done with collaborators Sandra, Paola, Zezé three friends who lost the sense of sight in different stages of life. Under these “Tactile Dialogues”, Delfina was the mentor for them, to work in clay with no task to follow, just get to know each other and have a moment to forget of the sense they are missing. They have a superpower that it is to see through the sense of touch. Those clay sculptures have been scanned and 3D printed, finally intervened by Delfina.

These creations will be exhibited in an immersive landscape, designed by composer Joaquín Gómez from ONA Sounds, amplifying the audience's sensory and emotional experience.

The intersection between Suri and Delfina’s art enhance the possibility of coexistence of ancestral technique and technology, sharing values and sustainability in a whole Universe.
